The Application in One Paragraph
Geotechnical and Ground-Control Management runs the ground-control record for a mine site end to end: sites carry nested areas and excavations — from highwall to bench to ramp — each intersecting one or more geotechnical domains, and each governed by an approved design basis and a ground-control plan. Against that structure sit the hazards (planar failure, rockfall, wall deformation) with their credited critical controls; the inspections that verify the ground and the observations they raise; the ground-support designs, what was actually installed against them, and the condition inspections that follow; and the monitoring backbone — instruments, measurement channels, validated readings and a live per-channel picture — evaluated against versioned threshold sets. When a channel breaches a threshold for its required persistence, a TARP activation is created and escalated by level, instantiating the plan's actions as tracked executions, imposing an operational restriction with explicit release criteria, and preserving the triggering reading and threshold version. From there the improvement loop runs: work requests and their independent verification, technical reviews, corrective actions, and management of change — and a TARP does not de-escalate because a later reading reads normal; de-escalation is a recorded competent-person decision. The whole chain is traceable both ways: a radar reading forward to the exclusion zone it caused, and the exclusion zone back to the evidence that justified it.
